But NZ Citizen Qualifications: 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Trainer of Fitness Leaders, Group Exercise Instructor, Fitness Kickboxing Canada Instructor, Weight Training Instructor, Aquatic Fitness Instructor, Osteofit Instructor, CPR, First Aid, AED instructor Bachelor of Physical Education, Masters in Public Health, PhD ( c) Medicine. Experience: I started teaching fitness classes when I was sixteen, fell in love with it, and have never looked back. I am certified to teach a variety of different types of classes including yoga, kickboxing, and group fitness classes. Since then, I have managed fitness centres, trained group fitness instructors, presented at many international conferences, and contributed to training manuals for fitness instructors. My experience in the fitness industry ranges from training high caliber athletes to teaching fitness classes in prisons, and working with people with osteoporosis. Hobbies: Surfing, spending time with my family, travelling, yoga, playing outside Greatest achievements: The greatest achievement in my personal life has been moving across the world to NZ with my family with everything we owned in two suitcases, and making Christchurch our home. In my professional life, my greatest achievement was publishing my first academic publication to a peer reviewed journal. Most proud of … I am most proud of how I have followed my heart and chased my dreams. Weakness in life … The first thing that I do every morning is have a cup of coffee and check the surf report.
